I guess this whole thing started with a doodle on botched thank you cards that I was making for my brother. I drew it once and thought it would look good on a t-shirt or something. Then I started to draw it everywhere. I couldn't get it out of my head. I didn't want it to be just another cute thing on a shirt and I knew I wanted to spread the idea that it is cool to show love. So for a few months I wrestled with ideas to make it something more than something cute and something that could make a difference. My first thought was just to donate some of the profits to a set bunch of non-profits that live up to the idea that "love is where it's at." But I knew to start that if I split it up every month, each non-profit would be getting only a few dollars. So I decided to donate a portion of the profits to a different non-profit every month. Check out this month's non-profit in the "This Month" tab. My second thought was to share ideas about different everyday ways to show love. My big reflection question before going forward with this process was, "What would my life look like if I truly lived like love is where it's at?" With that came more specific questions like, "How would I treat my family/friends/strangers differently?" "How would my vocabulary change?" "How would my buying habits change?" And then even more detailed questions came to mind like, "How would I show love to a man who is asking for money?" "How can I show love when I enter into conflict?" All important questions to which I do not know definite answers, but hope to provide some ideas to love-filled solutions and would gladly accept suggestions to put up. You can find this in the "This Month" tab. I am a firm believer that what goes in is what comes out, so my third thought was to showcase musicians who spread love through music. I really hope to develop that section to get in people's heads and hearts through the most powerful thing I know...Music. The musician of the month can be found in the "This Month" tab. I ask that you be patient with me and this whole process. I have never done anything like this before, but I feel like it needs to be done. I also ask for your understanding...I do not claim to be perfect or the most loving person on the planet, and I probably won't do all the things I talk about on this page 100% of the time, but I think the point is that I am trying. So please grant me those two things as I work to make this thing much more than a doodle.
